Non-surgical Facelift and Skin Tightening

Have you been noticing the skin around your eyebrows, neck, chin and décolleté (chest) beginning to sag? Many factors can cause skin damage, such as age, environment, etc. As we age, collagen and elastin are broken down and weakened. Ultherapy® is designed for lifting and skin tightening and does not require any downtime after the procedure. The ultrasound waves deliver energy to the deeper layers of the skin, the same layers that are tightened in a surgical facelift procedure. The effect is seen between 2 to 3 months after the non-invasive method.

Does Ultherapy Help Stimulate Collagen?

Ultherapy, a non-invasive treatment, goes deeper to stimulate production of your body’s own collagen and elastin, for natural-looking results without surgery or downtime.

Is Ultherapy Safe?

Ultherapy is the only FDA-cleared, non-invasive procedure that lifts the neck, chin and brow, and improves lines and wrinkles on the upper chest. Through the ultrasound imaging with Ultherapy, energy is delivered precisely to the place where it will benefit you most—for natural-looking results that improve over time.

Frequently Asked Questions:

  • How does the Ultherapy work?
The ultrasound waves pass through the skin’s surface to deliver the right amount of ultrasound energy to the proper depths and at the right temperature. The ultrasound energy triggers a natural response under the skin, which starts the regenerative process that strengthens weak collagen and produces fresh new collagen. The treatment also uses ultrasound imaging, which allows the doctor to see the layers of tissue they are treating, making sure the treatment energy is being delivered accurately.
  • What should I expect before my Ultherapy session?
One of our specialists will clean your skin and apply a topical cream to numb the surface that will be affected. Anti-inflammatory medication like ibuprofen may also be given along with medication to help you relax for the duration of the session.
  • What should I expect during my Ultherapy session?
A cooling gel will be applied to the skin surface to conduct the ultrasound waves better. A transducer will be used on the skin surface to deliver the treatment. The procedure may take anywhere from 1 to 2 hours depending on the size or number of areas being treated.
  • What should I expect after my Ultherapy session?
Some bruising is possible, but not likely. There may be some tenderness on the treated areas as well as some temporary numbness. There is no downtime.
  • What kind of results should I expect?
Some patients see initial effects right away, but the real results begin to show after around three months as the new collagen works to smooth skin on the treated areas.
  • How often should I seek treatment?
Most patients only need one treatment, while some patients come in to treat another area or to have additional treatments after a year or so for maintenance. The effect of Ultherapy can last as long as three years.
